Perhaps the most common bird at the Bear River Migratory Bird Refuge while I was there last week was the American Pipit. They were everywhere! But harder than heck to get good photos of. They're like Melanie Hamilton, soft and subdued in color--not the least bit flashy--but lovely nonetheless.
