Today's New York Times has an article about a research laboratory trying to find a real, genuinely effective way of controlling or eliminating malaria. Not only would finding a real cure solve one of the world's worst medical scourges (some people estimate that malaria has killed more than half the people who have died since the start of the human race!) but it would also defuse the revisionists who still insist that widespread environmental use of DDT would have ended malaria long ago.
