Earlier this week I posted a photo from The Daily Mail: "Fake 'bird-scaring' owl becomes home for family of swallows." To reinforce the lesson the plastic owls aren't particularly scary to birds, Richard Hollis, a birder from Iowa, sent the above photo of pigeons ignoring a plastic owl. And on the Fourth of July, I took this photo of Ring-billed Gulls ignoring this plastic owl in Duluth.
